Why I Want to Serve
Seattle Municipal Court plays a critical role in our daily lives. For many people, it is their first and most frequent interaction with the justice system.
I believe this responsibility demands more than legal knowledge. It requires empathy, patience, an unwavering commitment to fairness, and a bird’s-eye view of the impact of every single legal issue that comes before the Court. My experience as both an advocate and a Pro Tem Judge has shaped my belief that justice is not one-size-fits all. Justice means meeting every litigant where they are. It must be administered with care, consistency, and respect for the dignity of every person and every case.
As a Public Defender, I saw first-hand all of the ways that judicial decisions can impact individuals, families, and communities. That is why I approach every case, one case at a time, with an open mind, careful listening, and a commitment to applying the law in a fair and impartial manner.
I am running for Seattle Municipal Court Judge to maintain public trust in the judicial system.
